Scarlett Rose was born in Boston on the wrong side of the tracks. After a tragic train accident took her mother, her father
sold her to a "rich" doctor..who promptly sent the heathen to Paris to learn to be proper...upon arriving in Paris with a large amount of cash scarlett decided
this was her "golden" opprotunity...and a chance for freedom.
Scarlett had no real desire to become proper,...improper worked fine for her...(and it was fun). After seeing much of France, and living the high life Scarlett was running low on cash, all she had to show for it was a trunk full of pretty dresses...she didn't have
enough money for her return ticket to Boston, and anyway she really didn't want to return to Mr. Stodgey anyway...but she longed for America...Scarlett
schmoozed her way on a ship leaving Paris for the port of Yuma...she was sure Yuma had to be close to Boston...( her meal ticket)...she was sure surprized
when she arrived....word was out that she had "robbed" a rich man from Boston ...authorities promptly picked her up ...after a short stay in Yuma prison Scarlett's
father told the real story...my dad ran away from his other family with a floozie ( my mom ).....after getting me out of Yuma prison he told me I had two sisters in Cyanide Springs; Annie and
Lila..and their ma.
Scarlett was released to the wilds of Arizona...to fend for herself...all she had was that trunk of dresses, she put on her most fancy one,
lifted the skirts and flagged down a stage coach full of miners headed to Cyanide Springs...by the time they arrived they were broke, but they didn't care - they all
had big smiles on their faces...and Scarlett Rose had a bundle of cash socked away...and a new means for living.
