Born on Nov. 15th., 1842 in Kiev Russia. Attended the Hebrew Acadamy and became a Rabbi in 1863. Looking for a congregation I sent some letters to the new world in hopes of performing weddings, bar mitzvas, funerals and circumcisions. A few weeks later I received a letter from Doctor Holliday inviting me to a town called Cyanide Springs in a country called Arizona.
He said I could do funerals,maybe a wedding or two, no bar mitzvas, and definitely no cutting below the belt. So off I went with prayer book in hand to the wild, wild, west. I set up a temple (tax exempt ) and I now have a congregation of two. My wife Judith and myself.
I do a lot of funerals now and make a living from borrowing from the deceased. Thank you again Doctor Holliday
