Legacy of the Immortal Gunfighters
On March 29, 1995 a group of average, but well meaning citizens from Chloride got together and formed the Immortal Gunfighters of Chloride Arizona. For the next few years they struggled against all obstacles, fighting weather, apathy, and their own intelligence. As the World watched in awe, the Immortals overcame all odds and persevered.
On September 18, 1997, these hardy men and women built in the center of Chloride, a new town "Cyanide Springs". This unsavory band of lawmen, outlaws, gamblers, gunmen, Indians and of course the ladies, can be seen every first and third Saturday of the month at "High Noon", re-enacting old west scenes on the site of Cyanide Springs.
The great metropolis of Chloride and neighboring towns of Dolan Springs, Golden Valley, and Kingman Arizona observed what was transpiring with disbelieving eyes. These towns, who had known peace and tranquility for so long, could only look on and pray, that the violence of this small town of Cyanide Springs wouldn't overflow onto their serene, but unprotected streets. As these good citizens looked on in fear, the fame and notoriety of the Immortal Gunfighters spread across the vast states of Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Utah. Finally the bloodshed spread over onto the mighty banks of the Mississippi and even the small hamlet of Branson, Missouri, which had survived the likes of Jesse James and the Youngers was not immune and no match for the Immortals from Chloride, Arizona.
Led by Doc Holliday, the Immortals are still fighting and entertaining crowds from the World over. In Cyanide Springs; or wherever demand takes them. Very seldom in harmony, they are resigned to the Code of the West, and often are seen fleecing the pockets of unsuspecting Pilgrims watching in awe of their dynamic performing. While these faithful spectators leave hoodwinked and penniless, they return time and time again to see and enjoy the Immortal Gunfighters reenact scenes from the "Old West" and keep the memories of the men and women, who carved this great country into what it is today "Great". "God bless America".
