The Immortal Gunfighters of Chloride Arizona - Authentic Old West Reenactment Group

"Bear & Cody"

In Memoriam

My friend & "brother"; Bear passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2004 at the age of 60. Everyone says "They will be missed" but this guy definitely will be. He had many, many friends as he was easy-going, always willing to help and share his knowledge. He was an excellent horseman and up on the old west. He was a very valuable member of the Immortals and served as our Safety Officer.

When he was younger, he and his wife traveled far and wide with their wagon and team meeting new people and selling their hand made wares.

He worked as an old west reanactor and had his own commercial groups. He was also a Vietnam War veteran.

He lived a simple life style and espoused working with nature and respected the Earth. His goal was teaching kids about the real old west rather than the Hollywood version.

We formed a close friendship and spent a lot of time together; sharing information and just plain having fun.

Bear, my friend; you are missed and will always be in my heart and soul.

THE ARlZONA OUTLAW

There's an outlaw devil in my heart
A kindred spirit in me.
Every hard ride is a brand new start
Cause ya see---they're still after me.

There's outlaw blood running in my veins
and I fly off like a bird.
And everytime I shoot;
My interest wanes
My outlaw song is heard.

By reputation I'm an outlaw
But my essence feel's so free
Society deems me a social flaw
For I can't be content--to just be.

So call me an outlaw--call me crazy
Some even call me a curse
The Drover's have called me plain lazy
But the fate ofmy 44 is much worse.

So I run away fast on my horse
Or is it what I'm running to?
I'm living the the life of an outlaw
Can't no - one depend on you?

In Tombstone they look on me with favor
Cause I give the devil his due.
Thru all kinds of weather
I'm hell bent to slap leather,
With Billy The Kid--or just You!

So step aside if you can't abide
To pullen your iron on me
So many's tried to kill my hide
Or hang me From a cottonwood tree.

Cody -- my horse..
"Oh"...he's a champion of course! !
Doggin bullets and trees
As we flee thru the Hell Canyon
Or the Grand Canyon
Across the valley of The Big Sandy.

As I fall back to see.
Are they gonna catch me
Across them flats of the Movhave??

Them Arizona Rangers
They ain't no strangers
By golly we've had some thrill's
But I won't giye up narry a stirrup
TIll we reach that town of White- Hills.

So I'll ride the devils hot land
In the Arizona Territory
And I know for shure
That there is no cure For an Arizona outlaw like me!! !
